Medical Psychology introduces psychological factors related to health, illness, and medical care, emphasizing the biopsychosocial approach. The course addresses basic psychological processes, stress and coping, personality and developmental aspects, health psychology, psychosomatic relationships, and selected topics in clinical psychology. It also focuses on doctor-patient communication, ethical and cultural issues, the experience of illness, pain, dying, and the psychological demands of healthcare professionals, with the aim of supporting effective and empathetic medical practice.
