Institutional Resilience

The system of institutional resilience serves to protect the University of Ostrava from illegitimate influence through risk management. Given the university’s ethical and social responsibility, it is essential to prevent the influence of foreign powers and other forms of illegitimate interference.

The academic environment is based on principles of openness and freedom; however, these can be misused to promote hidden interests. The aim of institutional resilience is therefore to protect the fields of science, research, innovation, arts, and education, and to ensure a safe environment for their development.

As a result, members of the academic community do not have to worry that their openness and good-faith actions could be misused against them or against the institution as a whole.
