This course aims to present a basic intellectual framework for the transition from natural philosophy to (natural) science that allegedly took place during the 16th and 17th centuries. Through critical evaluation of secondary sources and analysis of key primary texts, we will attempt to reconstruct the complex process commonly referred to as the emergence of modern science during our meetings.
