| Anotation | The proposed project is based on partial findings obtained within the SGS project from 2024 (The Impact of Gender-Affirmative Care on the Well-being of Transgender Women in the Czech Republic and Thailand) and focuses on an area that has not yet been sufficiently explored and which, moreover, remains largely neglected in the field of social services. The lack of information and examples of good practice means, for example, that support services at the intersection of health and social care are often unable to respond adequately to the specific situation of trans and non-binary people and their needs or to offer an informed and respectful approach. Conducting quantitative research will enable us to map the actual experiences of the target group with gender-affirming care, identify the most significant challenges and barriers in this area, and determine what works in practice. Based on the analysis, we will formulate practical recommendations for social and health service providers, enabling them to work more effectively with the needs of trans and non-binary clients. |
