AnotationThe project examines the effects of AI-supported lesson planning in physical education on students? motivation, their overall physical activity habits, and teachers? self-efficacy. The research sample will include children and adolescents aged 11 to 17 years from primary and secondary schools in Ostrava, where students? engagement time in PE lessons, motivation toward physical activity, and general activity patterns will be assessed. Physical education teachers participating in the project will be evaluated in terms of their self-efficacy. Data will be collected using validated questionnaires: BREQ-3 and IMI-PE to assess students? motivation in physical activity and physical education, YAP to examine general activity habits, and PETES to measure teachers? self-efficacy. Students? engagement time during PE lessons will be monitored with accelerometers or Fitbit devices, expressed as a percentage of the lesson. Data collection will occur in two phases. The first will include baseline measurements at the beginning or end of the semester without intervention, alongside teacher training on the use of AI for planning PE lessons. In the second phase, participants will be divided into two groups, and the same parameters will be measured before and after the implementation of AI-assisted planning. Curricular content will remain comparable between groups within each phase and aligned with school and Ministry of Education requirements. The project aims to generate initial evidence on whether AI-supported planning can enhance teaching effectiveness and promote more active and motivated student participation in physical education.
