| Anotation | This study explores the potential and constraints of social educators' work in preventing elder abuse, mistreatment and neglect. The research will analyse the current forms of harm experienced by seniors in home and institutional care, and examine how social educators can utilise their educational, counselling, preventive and intervention skills to protect older people. It will also map current practices, identifying existing preventive mechanisms, educational programmes for seniors and caregivers, and social pedagogues' perceptions of their role in this area. |
