AnotationInvasive fungal infections are a severe and potentially life threatening complication in patients with blood cancer. Its treatment is very demanding, financially and humanly. Smoking is a known risk factor for invasive fungal infections, especially during severe immune suppression and cytopenie, in which time smoking diminishes the natural cleansing mechanisms of the lung and allows for easier mycosis onset. The cessation of smoking duroing hospitalization is an option for preventing these complications. The goal of this project is the assessment of the incidence of invasive fungal infections in patients who limit or fully quit their smoking through hospitalization in comparison to patients smokers. Non smoker patients will be followed for determining the percentage of invasive fungal mycosis as a control group.
