AnotationThe one-year project Discourse of Resistance - A Stylometric Analysis of Manifestos of Selected Middle Eastern Radical Movements represents the first comprehensive stylometric study of the manifestos of four major Middle Eastern organizations - Hamas, Hezbollah, Al-Qaeda, and Fatah - and aims to systematically capture their linguistic and stylistic specificities. The project is structured as three interrelated studies focusing on different levels of the manifestos? linguistic structure: lexical, onomastic, and syntactic. The analysis will systematically employ methods of corpus linguistics, stylometry, and selected approaches from natural language processing (NLP). The partial results of the project will be used to complement the applicant?s doctoral dissertation titled Reflections of the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict in Czech and English Journalistic Corpora. Research team structure: one academic researcher and one doctoral student (project applicant).
