| Anotation | The project "Albert Behaim as a member of the ministerial nobility" builds on research conducted for a dissertation devoted to the biography of Albert Behaim, dean of Passau and an important political figure in the first half of the 13th century. The main goal of the project is to identify the position of the individual within his social group, to describe his network of relatives, including the characteristics of the individual agents, and to provide a unique insight into Bavarian ministeriality, both in a regional context and in terms of personal ties between church representatives. Particular attention will be paid to the status of these individuals, as well as to differences in family strategies and property politics. The project will use methods of microhistory, historical prosopography, and historical network analysis. The methodological frame corresponds to current trends in European and Czech medieval studies. The researcher is a doctoral student (Mgr. Jakub František Koudar), who will work under the supervision of his supervisor (Prof. Mgr. Robert Antonín, Ph.D.), who is also the project supervisor. |
