AnotationThe objectives of the project are to broaden and stabilise the knowledge base on weather extremes, especially in urban agglomerations, and their impacts on quality of life, health and the environment, including scenarios for urban climate developments in the context of climate change. Furthermore, to bring new tools for holistic solutions to the mitigation of these threats and adaptation to climate change in an urban environment using both nature-based measures (e.g. vegetation) and supporting the resilience of cities (residents and institutions) in both areas of prevention and mitigation of the crisis impact. The solutions will respect the Sendai framework, the SDGs, the Climate Change Adaptation Strategy, the Concept of Environmental Security and the principles of sustainability.
