AnotationThe project is focused on the ethical dimension of social work practice. It is a generally accepted thesis that questions of morality are an integral part of the activities of social workers. But in their daily activities, this moral dimension takes on various forms. The aim of the project is to analyze and understand selected aspects of normative and situational forms of professional ethics of social workers. The normative dimension of professional morality is closely connected with knowledge and compliance with ethical codes (e.g. Global Social Work Statement of Ethical principles (2018), Code of Ethics of the Society of Social Workers of the Czech Republic (2006), ethical codes of specific social organizations services). The aim is to explore respondents' views on the content and importance of such ethical codes, the extent to which social workers feel able to apply them in practice, and the limitations of these codes in influencing social work decision-making and practice. Deeper insight into professional morality, which would allow revealing its situational forms, will be provided through in-depth interviews with practitioners from selected social service institutions.
