AnotationPulmonary resection presents a significant burden for patients, as it influences their functional status, which becomes reflected also in their quality of life. The aim of this prospective study is to evaluate the quality of life and functional status, determined on the basis of spirometry parameters and disability assessment, of patients undergoing pulmonary resection for benign and malignant diseases, as a function of time. This pilot project is the beginning of long-term follow-up of patients after pulmonary resection. Evaluation of functional status and quality of life of these patients could help to understand the effects of surgery resection on the life of the patient, and could identificate problem areas where further interventions should be aimed to improve the quality of life of these patients.
