Anotation	Characterization and susceptibility testing of Aeromonas spp. and Campylobacter spp. from clinical specimens should prove the antibiotics of choice. The study should reveal the data for clinically serious infections, if it is appropriate to use ciprofloxacin or kotrimoxazol - in case of Aeromonas spp. infection, and ciprofloxacin or klaritromycin - in case of Campylobacter spp. infection. Aeromonas spp. and Campylobacter spp. are often treated empirically, without the susceptibility testing. Nevertheless, in serious cases, Aeromonas spp. or Campylobacter spp. can be proven and multidrug-resistant bacteria where described in both genera in Europe.
