| Anotation | The project studies selected groups of the new nobility in the Czech lands in the period between the beginning of the 18th century and the demise of the Austro-Hungarian empire. We see the new nobility as a part of the process of changes in political, economic and cultural elites, as a component important for their renewal and replenishment. The project also aims at establishing a group of historians who specialize in this field, and involving other interested individuals. Project conclusions will be published in the form of proceedings and editions of selected nobilitations. |
