The course introduces students to the geographical varieties of the Spanish language across the Hispanophone world. Attention is paid to differences in all linguistic levels (phonetics, morphology, syntax, lexicon) as well as the conditions for the emergence of these differences (historical circumstances, language contacts, intralinguistic causes, etc.).
