This course uses an understanding of Czech literature as a springboard for understanding the cultural, historical, and literary context of other national literatures, which will be represented by individual students. With the help of key literary texts from the 19th to 21st centuries and their modern adaptations, we will look for similarities and differences between individual cultures and their artistic expressions.
