Předmět poskytne studentům hlubší přehled specializované chirurgie u vybraných chirurgických onemocnění a poranění v různých věkových kategoriích (ortopedie, traumatologie, popáleniny), seznámí studenty s vybranými chorobami a traumaty jednotlivých systémů a jejich řešením - etiologie, příznaky, diagnostika, léčebné možnosti, management bolesti, komplikace, prevence.
