Healthy Campus at the University of Ostrava

We promote health, well-being and quality university life

The University of Ostrava creates an environment in which health care, an active lifestyle, mental well-being, mutual respect and sustainability are a natural part of study and work. Through the Healthy Campus initiative, we combine sport, prevention, mental health support, a safe environment, healthy eating and a responsible approach to the environment.

What is Healthy Campus?

Healthy Campus is an international initiative of FISU (International Federation of University Sport), which helps universities systematically support the health and wellbeing of the entire academic community. The University of Ostrava subscribes to this approach and develops activities aimed at students and employees across all faculties and workplaces.

Our vision

The University of Ostrava is a healthy, safe, inclusive, and sustainable campus supporting physical, mental, and social health across the university community. It establishes an environment where health care, wellbeing, mutual respect, and responsibility is a natural part of studies, work, and everyday life

Healthy Campus

Mental and Social Health

We develop services, activities and environments that promote mental well-being, stress management and a sense of belonging.

Safe and respectful environment

We promote a culture of respect, inclusion and consideration for each other.

Healthy Eating

We strive to promote healthy eating habits and nutritional awareness.

Sustainability and a healthy environment

We care about the environment in which we study and work, and we support a responsible approach to people and the environment.
