Course description: The subject of professional practice is designed as a practical subject. Professional practice will take place according to the practical training plan, under the guidance of a professional practice guarantor in cooperation with a mentor from clinical practice, who is a qualified expert in his field and will have appropriate preparation for the role of a teacher. Students will learn skills in midwifery. Clinical workplaces for teaching will be selected based on established standards - they will meet established standard criteria, the validity and compliance of which will be contractually ensured. The focus of professional practice is on care in the delivery room and on care for newborns in the neonatal ward. Objectives: Students will become familiar with the structure of secondary care and with individual types of secondary care facilities, especially with the organization of secondary care services for women and children. Students will learn to assess the overall health status of women from the perspective of providing individual nursing care. Students will acquire basic nursing skills.
