Practical training gives students the opportunity to apply their theoretical knowledge and practical skills into the practice at selected departments. It gives them the space to enhance their skills and habits , they become more independent, responsible and work as a team. Training will be running under supervision of the lecturer - midwifery assistance of the mentor from the medical practice that is professionally qualified and will have the preparation in education. Clinical departments will be selected on the basis of standard criteria, their validity will be assured in contract. Will be focused on the internal, surgical, neurological and psychiatric department. Practical training is focused on the primary care,care at the operational theatre, care during the pregnancy and childbed. Practical training is focused on the health care and prevention - primary and secondary care for woman, newborns and children Students get familiar with the structure of services of the primary and secondary care, with the individual types of facilities, especially in the care for the woman and child and ill clients. They assess the environment (material and social) they are living in, risk for their health, obtain the knowledge of methods in health care education - individual and group, preventive procedures. Students are able to assess the overall clinical conditions of women, newborns and children. Students practice the basic nursing skills
