ourse description: The subject of professional practice is designed as a practical subject. Professional practice will take place according to the practical teaching plan, under the guidance of a mentor from clinical practice, who is a qualified expert in his field and will have appropriate preparation for the role of a teacher. Clinical workplaces for teaching will be selected based on established standards - they will meet established standard criteria, the validity and compliance of which will be contractually ensured. The focus of professional practice is on internal, surgical, neurological and psychiatric departments in the context of acquiring practical skills in individual procedures. Objectives: Professional practice is oriented towards the area of health promotion and disease prevention - primary and secondary care. Students will become familiar with the structure of primary and secondary care services and with individual types of facilities within primary care and secondary care, especially with the organization of services in primary and secondary care for women and children and sick clients. They will learn to evaluate the environment (material and social) in which people live, the risks to their health, they will become familiar with the methods of health education - individual and group, with the need for preventive measures. Students will learn to evaluate the overall health of women, newborns and children from the perspective of providing individual nursing care. Students will acquire basic nursing skills.
