Annotation:
This course is designed to help students develop the essential skills of effective academic writing through practical contexts, and is primarily focused on real-world, employment based skills. Through a process of constant practice, learning, and peer and tutor feedback, students will learn essential employment skills within the English-speaking world, as well as the essential principles of good academic writing. These skills will provide the foundations for effective writing to be built on in Academic Writing 2, which will focus on the 'academic' context of essay-writing and the professional thesis.
