Classes are taught at the University of Ostrava. Welcome Week is a mandatory elective course designed to facilitate adaptation to new academic and intercultural conditions. The aim of the course is to strengthen group cohesion among first-year students and to familiarize students with the "study trajectory", explain the objectives of individual course elements (umbrella titles) at different universities, and clearly link the knowledge and skills they acquire to the graduate profile.
Activities within the course focus on getting to know fellow students and academic staff and learning about the specifics of the university environment at individual partner institutions (UO, UNIBI, USV). Students are encouraged to identify more easily with the university and their chosen study program and to acquire the skills necessary for a successful start and course of university study. The course emphasizes teamwork, effective communication, and personal development, thereby creating conditions for the effective integration of students into university life.
