| Anotation | The project proposal follows on from the previous SGS project from 2025, "Artistic and Scientific Research for the Dissertation Thesis Sensitivity of Material - Paper as an Autonomous Artistic Medium." In her dissertation, the doctoral student examines various aspects of the sensitivity of paper as a material within the field of Paper Art. This internationally oriented research includes interviews with selected Czech and foreign artists who have been working with paper as their primary medium over the long term. The interviews mainly reveal new perspectives and connections that help to create and formulate individual chapters of the dissertation. Most interviews are conducted in person during visits to artist's studios and exhibitions. This personal approach and authentic contact with specific artworks proved extremely valuable in the previous project. Photographic documentation and authentic interview recordings were produced, which the doctoral student has worked with and continues to work with. In 2026, the SGS project would continue to focus primarily on conducting additional interviews and creating photographic documentation as background material for the dissertation and related articles. The dissertation could potentially be published in the future, filling a gap in the comprehensive Czech/Slovak literature on Paper Art. In addition, in 2026, the project would also focus on publishing, international cooperation, organizing workshops, and exhibitions. Thanks to newly established contacts, one solo or common exhibition project abroad should be created, in which the doctoral student would directly participate. In addition, one of the outputs will be the doctoral student's publishing activity, aimed primarily at professional internet portals focusing on the medium of paper. |
