The Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Ostrava, announces a selection procedure for the position of:
- Researcher (male/female) with a focus on Neurology, Internal Medicine, and Emergency Medicine, and simultaneously Head of the Working Group for Research in Prehospital Emergency Neurological Care (PECRG)

Job description
- leadership and further development of the Working Group for Research in Prehospital Emergency Neurological Care (PECRG);
- design and implementation of scientific projects in neurology and prehospital emergency care, including efforts to obtain national and international grant funding;
- diagnostics, prevention, and treatment focused on acute neurological diseases, especially ischemic stroke;
- diagnostics, organization, and treatment in prehospital emergency care, including the implementation of innovations;
- publication activities;
- international cooperation.
Qualification requirements – required
- completed university education in General Medicine;
- board certification in Neurology and Internal Medicine;
- completed doctoral studies in a medical or healthcare-related field;
- expert in vascular neurology and prehospital emergency care;
- expert with active involvement in international medical societies;
- at least 3 years of experience in a managerial position in healthcare – experience with team leadership;
- at least 5 years of research experience;
- publication record;
- English language proficiency at C1/C2 level;
- ability to establish international cooperation;
- positive, independent, and creative approach to work;
- ability to solve assigned tasks operatively.
Qualification requirements – preferred
- experience in the development of clinical professional guidelines;
- experience supervising undergraduate and postgraduate theses at a medical faculty.
Research level
- R3 – Established / R4 – Leading (research group)
The expected form of employment
- 10% or by agreement.
The duration of employment
- Fixed-term contract for 1 year.
The expected start date
- March 2026 or by agreement.
Wage conditions
- in accordance with the Internal Salary Regulations of the University of Ostrava.
