Job description
The assistant professor provides instruction in bachelor′s and master′s degree programs (including supervising and reviewing final theses) and participates in the development of these study programs. If approved by the faculty′s scientific council, the assistant professor participates in providing doctoral study programs. They actively participate in creative activities (primarily in the form of independently solving complex research and development tasks, actively publishing in peer-reviewed journals, or other forms of publication outputs in accordance with the requirements of the field and in accordance with the requirements of creative activity standards at University of Ostrava, actively participating in scientific conferences and professional meetings, and actively presenting the results of creative activities). In addition, the assistant professor participates in the third role of the university, particularly in the form of popularizing creative activities, in the administration associated with the activities performed, and in the self-government of the university.
Qualification requirements – required
- University degree in medicine or natural sciences;
- Doctoral education in given field or a related field;
- Scientific research and publishing activity in the field;
- Active knowledge of English – level B2, ability to teach in English;
- Personal and professional prerequisites for teaching and research activities.
