The Dean of the Faculty of Science of the University of Ostrava announces a job vacancy at the Department of Biology and Ecology
- Researcher IV in ornithology and behavioural ecology
Expected start date
- 1st of April, 2024 (or by agreement)
Estimated amount of work
- 30 % (or by agreement)
Qualifications and other requirements
- Scientific – educational rank of Professor
- Publications and popularization achievements in the field of ornithology and behavioral ecology
- Research stays abroad with a total duration of at least one year
- EU research level: R3 – Established/R4 – Leading (research group)
- Advanced knowledge of English at least at the B2 level
- Very advanced knowledge of Czech at the C1 level
Job description/Responsibilities
- Scientific (publishing) activity in the field of ornithology and behavioral ecology
- Initiation of research projects (submission of grants, search for opportunities for contractual research cooperation)
- Dissemination of results through university social networks or mass media, as well as public presentations at university/fakulty sponsored events
