The Rector of the University of Ostrava announces a selection procedure for a position at the institute Centre of Excellence IT4Innovations, Institute for Research and Applications of Fuzzy Modeling (IRAFM)

  • Project Junior Researcher „DigiWELL – Research of Excellence on Digital Technologies and Wellbeing, reg. no.: CZ.02.01.01/00/22_008/0004583“.

Job description:

  • Participation/cooperation in the implementation of the research work package no. 6 - Research, development and application of innovative methods for processing complex systems in the field of wellbeing in line with the needs of other members of the research team and partner departments;
  • Participation within the team in basic and oriented research, in particular in collaborative interdisciplinary research in the social sciences and humanities or in IT;
  • Contribution to outputs in the form of analyses, source codes or scientific publications;
  • Participation in data collection for specific project outputs and assistance in their completion.

Entry to employment:

  • February 2024 - March 2024, or as agreed. Fixed-term employment for 1-3 years with the possibility of extension.

Systemized place:

  • Researcher I (non-academic)

Prerequisites:

  • Higher education in a master's degree programme, mathematics/computer science or related fields;
  • Minimum research level R1 (Ph.D. student level);
  • Field of study: mathematics/computer science with a focus on working with data, e.g., data analysis, machine learning, etc.;
  • Active knowledge of English language at B2 level.
