Qualifications and other requirements
- Doctoral degree (Ph.D.) in Political and Cultural Geography or a related field, eventually completed university degree in a Master's programme with a prerequisite of successful completion of ongoing doctoral programme (in Political and Cultural Geography or a related field) no later than the start date of the employment
- Specialisation in the fields: Regional Geography, Political Geography, Global Issues, Pedagogy of Geography
- Ability to teach in both Czech and English languages the courses in the above specialisation
- English language competency, minimum B2 level
- Czech language competency, C1
- Publications in the field of Political and Regional Geography
- EU research level: R2 – Recognized
- At least 1 year of experience in teaching Geography at a secondary or primary school
- Self-reliance, teamwork skills
- Communication and organisational skills
Job Description
- Guaranteeing and teaching courses in Bachelor's and follow-up Master's degree programmes, both in Czech and English (Regional Geography of America, Political Geography, Global Issues of Humankind)
- Scientific and publishing activity in the field of Political and Regional Geography
- Supervising and opposing theses
- Membership in the state examination commissions of Bachelor's and follow-up Master's degree programmes
- Organization of the short-term pedagogical internships
