Annotation:	Lectures inform students about evolutionary tendencies of the English language with the aim to contribute to better and conscious management of English idiomaticity. Students will deal predominantly with the internal history of the language within periods that are essential for its development. Students are expected to have good knowledge of English phonetics and normative grammar. Besides English, they should also know basics of at least one more foreign language.
