AnotationThe aim of this two-year project is to describe the transfer of specialist (expert) information using the example of specialist vocabulary in German and Czech newspapers. The research draws thematically on the project SGS21/FF/2016-2017 (?Presentation of specialist information in specialist and non-specialist contexts?), which analyzed specialist vocabulary in two German newspapers with nationwide distribution as collected in a database of specialist lexical resources which were subjected to metalexicographic processing. The proposed project aims to determine the extent to which readers encounter these lexical resources in the German regional and tabloid press and in Czech newspapers. The occurrence of specialist vocabulary will be verified using German and Czech reference corpora (DeReKo, DWDS, ČNK). Attention will focus on the role of specialist vocabulary in the individual sections of the newspapers and in individual text types (news reports, comment/opinion pieces, etc.). A further goal of the project is to support internationalization in student research and to set up cooperation with universities in Germany (Erfurt, Würzburg, Leipzig, Volgograd) for the implementation of the final phase of the project, which will conduct a sociolinguistic survey involving a selected group of respondents in order to determine how comprehensible the excerpted lexical resources are for readers.
