| Anotation | The project is based on the methodology of communicative and pragmatic linguistics and conservation analysis. It follows up with the grant project ČR No. 405/95/0009, entitled ' Spoken Czech in Bohemia and Moravia ' which will be completed in the year 1997;n the basis of an analysis of authentic spoken texts lasting 4 000 minutes, it compares the differences within the contemporary language situation on the territory of Bohemia and Moravia, determines their causes and defines further developments. Theobjectives of the project are : to make full use of the corpus of spoken texts that is being created ; to complement it by adding texts of hitherto not mapped communicative situations ; and to inform about the use of variants of the Czech language in individual types of communicative situations, which should be based on an all-round analysis, oriented especially towards language means.
