AnotationGerman-written Medical Literature in Late Medieval and Early Modern Moravia (Position, language, importance) The research into the German language of the late Middle Ages and the early modern era has been recently focused not only on investigating the official language (Kanzleisprache) but also more and more on specialized texts. In Moravian archives and libraries there is a great amount of primary literature from various scientific branches at a disposal. Medical prose, whose research has had a long tradition in Germany, is represented to a fairly large extent. This tradition is followed up with a project, the purpose of which is to clarify the position German medical prose written in Moravia hold in the context of German professional literature as well as the way it reflected the development of the language of this scientific branch and if need be the way it contributed to its development. Considering the fact that the language of specialized literature contributed to the development of the norms.
