Expressing Emotionality in German and in Czech: A Contrastive Study

Anotation	The project aims to compare linguistic devices (lexical, morphological, syntactic, textual, stylistic and rhetoric) used for expressing emotionality in Czech and in German. The research will be based on an analysis of a variety of written texts from different functional styles, drawing upon Czech and German language corpora and phraseological dictionaries. Besides partial studies and papers, the research will result in a monograph contributing to the definition of the concept of emotionality on the theoretical level, at the same time providing a complex contrastive view of expressing emotionality in German and Czech written texts, and including a bilingual German-Czech dictionary of emotional linguistic devices.
