|Annotation:||The course is taught in English (B1 language level is required).
The subject is intended for students from abroad (excluding students of the programme Czech language for foreigners) and for students within the Erasmus+ exchange programme. Lectures are held in English; the required language level is B1 at least.
The aim of the subject is to present the Czech language and its place among Slavic languages and among languages in general. Via lectures, students obtain information about the state and development of the Czech language in wider theoretical connections. They get acquainted with basic facts about the Czech language on different language levels (emphasis is put on vocabulary), but also with the Czech orthography and the Czech graphic system. Attention will also be paid to the Internet sources for the language study.
