AnotationThe project aims to carry out a detailed linguistic analysis of neological loan-words from English penetrating into contemporary French. It is indisputable that English today appears to be the lingua franca of modern society and anglicisms penetrate much more easily into various world languages. Although France has a relatively well-thought-out language policy, it is not able to permanently resist the constant influx of anglicisms into the French language. As part of our research, we want to focus especially on neological loan-words from English related to the use of new media and social networks (such as Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, etc.). This area appears to us to be extraordinarily creative and constantly producing new expressions, which are logically connected especially with the Anglophone world, where most of these media originated. After the initial selection of the studied units with the help of the neological platform Néoveille, we then want to focus on the analysis of the semantic, phonetic, graphic and morphological adaptation of these expressions in French.
