AnotationThe theme of the project is the right of children and their own parents to regular personal contacts during placement in alternative care due to their neglect. The child has the right to grow up in a family environment, in an atmosphere full of happiness, love and understanding. If this right and the children are not guaranteed in their own family, the state is obliged to provide special protection for the children; in the case of neglected children, the child may be placed in alternative care (Convention on the Rights of the Child, 1991). This project focuses on children in forms of foster care, but also institutional care, due to their neglect. If this intervention occurs, children still have the right to regular and personal contacts if they are in the best interests of the child. Contacts benefit children in various aspects of their lives. Student project focused on the view of their own parents, there is not enough attention in the current research. The main goal of the research is to find out how parents perceive the role of staff in setting up, supporting and evaluating regular personal contacts with a child who has been placed in alternative forms of care due to neglect. Qualitative research will consist of in-depth interviews with one's own parents selected through deliberate criteria selection. The data will be processed using grounded theory procedures.
