| Anotation | The intention to prepare for publication and publish the memoirs of opera singer Richard Kubla (1890?1964) in the form of a critical annotated edition follows the Czech-German trilogy Music Artists between Ostrava and Vienna (Part 2: Richard Kubla), which will be published by Viktor Velek inearly 2021 in the Nakladatelství Lidové noviny publishing house. Preparation procedure: arrangement of various parts of typewritten and manuscript memories in various institutions, DTP conversion, proofreading of the Czech original, parallel translation into German and proofreading, inclusion of a brief biography of the singer and an editorial preface, with factual comments added in the form of footnotes. The text divided into chapters will be supplemented with suitable iconographic material. The aim is to offer both the professional and lay public interested in opera a unique memoir collection of one of the greatest Czech opera tenors. |
