AnotationThe project deals with the research of two thematic fields: microbiology and plant genetics. The aim of the microbiological part will be to monitor the occurrence of the antibiotic ampicillin in various stages of wastewater treatment, to evaluate biofilm formation in ampicillin-resistant bacteria and to identify the occurrence of beta-lactam antibiotic-resistant genes in biofilms. Plant genetics will focus on evaluating the expression of genes associated with abiotic drought stress and monitoring genes involved in the synthesis of opioids in Papaver somniferum and non-canonical DNA structures called quadruplexes at the laboratory level and using bioinformatics tools.
