AnotationThe SGS project consists of two parts: a) ecological-phylogenetic study of mosses of the genera Lewinskya, Orthotrichum and Schistidium in China; b) ecology of wood decaying fungi of the genus Ganoderma in the Czech Republic. The first part is focused on the taxonomy of the above-mentioned moss genera mostly in the People's Republic of China using morphological and molecular methods. The study will thus build on previous researches from 2018 and 2019, which focused on: 1. morphological variability within the Lewinskya speciosa agg. and species of the genus Schistidium, which is a critical taxonomic group. 2. study of species distribution pattern of genera Lewinskya, Orthotrichum and Schistidium. In the proposed SGS grant, the scientific group wants to continue on the above themes. Grant should significantly expand the dataset and then analyze larger quantities using molecular analyzes and more detailed distribution models. It should also bring new results from the taxonomy of the genus Schistidium, which has never been processed in China by new taxonomic methods. The second part of the project will be focused on the ecology of the genus Ganoderma in the Czech Republic. This part of the project complements the results from previous years concerning the genus Ganoderma with a broader focus on ecology, especially on altitudinal and latitudinal distribution in the Czech Republic, host specialization, the relationship of trophism and the category of vegetation.
