AnotationIn our research project we focus on under-researched phenomenon of the nature and the development of relationship between members (with and without lived experience) of participative groups. The aim of the project will be the description of the development of the allyship in the context of participative groups with people who use drugs and who have the experience of being clients in traditional social services in the Czech Republic. We are interested in the situations, specific relationship configuration and inner and outer pressures that redefine traditional notion of the relationship amongst experts and clients in participative projects. We base our research on Foucault notion of power (1990) as relational phenomenon. In this perspective, a participation can not be just another technique or a method, but radical change of philosophical posture and a self-concept of the so called experts and non-experts (clients). We selected two particular participative projects with the people who use drugs in the Czech Republic. People with lived experience will be involved into the research process as peer researchers. We will use qualitative research methodology with the emphasis on the participative research design of the study. The results will contribute to the discussion about the essentials for the support and development of the participative projects in the context of the social work with people who use drugs.
