| Anotation | The project focuses the reception of French avant-gardes in Czech interwar theatre ? a topic which has not been studied yet. Thus, only partial information is known regarding number of the stagings motivated by this reception, although these are often of essential importance (i.e. Ubu the King by Honzl). Systematic attention has not been paid either to the reception of French historical avant-gardes, one of the most important sources Czech interwar art springs from. In its first part, the project shall examine Czech cultural climate and its contacts with France in the interwar period. The main part shall be dedicated to the immediate context of the productions (i.e. translation), their reception and reconstruction. The research, mostly of archive origin, shall be held both in France and the Czech Republic. The expected outcomes are: two studies in journals indexed in Scopus, two conference presentations and one monograph. |
