AnotationThe purpose of this research project is to examine the literary work of Max Ring, a German-writing author born in 1817 in the village of Sudice which is now a part of Hlučín region. This research builds on successful project In the footsteps of german writing authors of Hlučín district - Max Ring I-II, which was taking pace in years 2017-2018. Ring left behind an extensive amount of texts, such as his pieces published in major German newspapers and journals. Even though he was very productive and was one of the main representatives of nineteen hundred Berlin, very little is found about his life and work in texts and researches dealing with this topic. The main goal of this project is therefore to reveal new primary and secondary sources of information and their following examination. The researching team consists of a lecturer, two students and one student. The results of the research will be mentioned in theses of those students´, will be presented on local conferences as well as these taking place abroad and will also be published in scientific journal. The presentation of these results to public will be in cooperation with the Salesian University in Katowice, the Upper Silesian Cultural Center and Meeting of them. Eichendorff in Lubowice, the Museum of Hlučín region and the Association of villages of the Hlučín region. The project follows up a major direction of research on Faculty of Philosophy at University of Ostrava, which is centred around the position of a region, land and city in literary and cultural context.
