AnotationPreparing the educators for their profession experiences an advance from passing cognitive knowledge on to children to the model of professionalism which includes significant social education in emotional and connative aspect (Dytrtová&Kohutová, 2009). If the social educators want to be prepared for such a functioning they need to develop self-recognition and self-regulation already in the pregradual preparation. One posibility is to use individual and group meetings in the course of the personal preparation and introspective internships. Our project offers one week internship in the role of a client in the community for the addicted. Action research is one of the research design which enables to follow this development (Willis&Edwards, 2014). Personal action research journal (PARJ) is one of the newer tools of data collection (Walker-Floyed, 2011). The goal of the project is to find out in what ways and in what areas the PARJ helps to develop professional competencies of social education students. The qualitative analyses will be used.
