AnotationValid musculoskeletal models of the human body can provide understanding and knowledge of the mechanics underpinning biological failure and the occurrence of injury. The application of these models may have significant impact on health, exercise and daily living activities. The wider importance of understanding the underlying bio physical properties of the human body includes the application for upper limb disorders. This project aligns with the world exercise and health agenda aimed at using sport and physical activity to promote health. The overall purpose of this research is to develop and evaluate a musculoskeletal model of the upper limbs that will increase our understanding of upper extremity injury risk.
