AnotationThe main outcome of the project will be analysis of the wide spectre of the social and cultural aspects of medieval society related to the IV. Lateran Council canons and their reception in social, economic, political and cultural development in Bohemian Lands during the 13th and14th centuries. The aims of the project will be achieved by interdisciplinary approach following the four main research outlines:1. Development of the Church organization and regulation of life of clergy (dev. of the parish districts, monasticism, pope and Bohemian Lands, dev. of juxta prudence, written culture,),2. Transformation of individual and collective forms of devotion in everyday life (individualization tendencies in religious life, devotion within social classes),3. Power of the Church in the world of laity (church organization as political institution and it ifluence on the development of Bohemian Lands in mediaeval period),4. Reflection of the society in visual arts (piety - reflection in period art, new iconography).
