AnotationSurgery is a stressful situation not only for an adult, but especially for a child. Properly carried out to prepare the child for surgery is still not a normal part of preoperative nursing interventions. Many foreign studies point to the positive effects of the preparation of the child for surgery in reducing fear, anxiety or pain. Children who are ready for operation and have the support of in-hospital, recovering faster and have fewer emotional problems than those who are not prepared. Programs that use the training? Play? have resulted in a reduction of fear, anxiety, and increased knowledge of children who undergo surgery. The aim of the project is to investigate the influence of selected methods of preparing children for surgery, their fear in the preoperative period and experiencing pain. Evaluation of the presence of pain and fear in children will be made for the use of diagnostic NANDA Taxonomy II. The pain assessment will be used standardized rating scales of pain in children Flacco, for fear of evaluation will be used standardized rating scales fear KFQ (The Koala Fear Questionnaire). Children prepared for surgery will be randomly assigned to intervention and control groups. Children in the intervention group will be prepared by methods utilizing elements of play therapy and education adapted to the age and developmental level of the child. Children in the control group will be prepared according to methods customs department.
