The International Scientific and Advisory Board (ISAB)
The International Scientific and Advisory Board (ISAB) is the body responsible for overseeing and advising during the implementation of the project "Biography of Fake News with a Touch of AI". Its main role is to provide independent expert oversight of the research and other activities carried out by the coordinating institution and its funded partners, to formulate strategic recommendations, and to monitor and evaluate progress on the project objectives during the implementation.
The ISAB meets on a regular basis, at least once a year. If necessary (such as if discrepancies or other issues are identified during the course of the project), this period may be shortened, or an additional meeting may be convened.
The main tasks of the ISAB are as follows:
- Annual evaluation of the quality of the expert activities carried out within the project and the achievement of the project objectives and outputs, including compilation of relevant interim reports
- Internal in-depth evaluation of progress on the project – once during the course of the project
- Final evaluation following the completion of the project implementation
- Consultancy regarding specific research issues, or if discrepancies with the feasibility study or other parts of the project are identified during monitoring of project activities
