Annotation:Characteristics: the course is aimed at getting to know the anatomy and physiology of the female reproductive organs and acquiring theoretical knowledge in the field of prevention, diagnosis and treatment of frequent pathologies of the external and internal genitalia. The course also includes female fertility, the course of pregnancy, the basics of pregnancy counseling and the management of physiological childbirth. The subject is structured in the form of interactive seminars with active involvement of students in the form of processed case reports or differential diagnostic balance sheets. Familiarity with the operation of the delivery room and the use of ultrasound in the diagnosis of gynecological and obstetrical pathologies is an integral part of the course. Objectives: To obtain a basic overview of issues in the field of gynecology and obstetrics and to familiarize students with the specific pitfalls of dental practice in relation to the physiology and pathology of the female reproductive organs.
