Annotation:This course is part of a series of interconnected courses of practical language for students of the 1st - 3rd year bachelor studies whose aim is the continuous development of linguistic skills and communicative competences (speaking, writing, reading and listening) with the expected final level of C1 according to CEFR. The course is aimed at third year students whose entry level is expected to be C1 (understanding the language of common conversation, the ability to express own opinion, identify basic ideas, and orientate within simple news regarding a known topic), which is then further developed thanks to the practical exercises. A part of the course is the development of academic writing skills. The thematic areas come from the textbook Side, R., & Wellman, G. ([2002]). Grammar and vocabulary for Cambridge advanced and proficiency: fully updated for the revised CPE. Longman.
